Started off with just being a small town island boy working really young with my grandmother at festivals in Okinawa, Japan. Cooking, prepping, and learning traditional Japanese food with the woman of my life, my grandmother, was the first experience of knowing the true essence of food. Later with the help of my music I was blessed and lucky to travel around Europe, Asia, South America and learn many styles and techniques in which I use today. I've been fortunate enough to use my gifts and talents to help consult other restaurants and by 2007 I found my home with SakiTumi. For over 6 years we've showcased a style of fusion inspired dishes and continue to provide Columbia, SC with a unique dining experience.

Tumi Seared Tuna
It's one of my favorite and popular signature dishes: It's 4oz. of #1 Blue Fin tuna, spiced, pan seared and placed on a bed of fresh mixed greens and seaweed salad. Garnished with wasabi aioli and homemade ponzu sauce.
